Mayaaaa, Mayaaa, Mayaaaa—dherai maya tapailai! (That means “lots of love to you” in Nepali!)

Hehe, hi guys, Maya here! I’m the sweetest and cuddliest girl at the shelter, and if you ever visit, be prepared, I’ll jump and jump until you carry me in your arms! I just love being held close, feeling safe and loved.

I was just a tiny pup living on the streets of Sunakothi when my life changed forever. It was a cold winter morning on December 6, 2024, when a human, driving recklessly, hit me and left me lying there, helpless and in pain. I screamed for help, but no one stopped. I couldn’t move at all, and every second felt like a lifetime of suffering.

Then, a kind soul noticed me. She didn’t know how to treat my injuries, but she took me into her warm home, wrapped me in a soft blanket, and gave me food. In that moment, I felt something I had never felt before, hope. I didn’t know what would happen next, but I was grateful that someone finally saw me.

Not long after, two men arrived and gently scooped me up in their arms. They told me I was going to a new home, a place where I would be loved and cared for. That was the day I found Sneha’s Care, my safe haven. Here, I received all the medical treatment I needed, along with endless love and kindness.

I have healed so well, and now, I have the most exciting news…soon, I will be flying to Germany to my forever home! I will miss my friends at the shelter, but I am so excited for this new chapter in my life. I hope that one day, every dog here gets the same love and opportunity that I was lucky enough to receive.
